AUDITIONS
Friday March 8th 4pm-7pm
Saturday March 9th 9am-12pm
Held at Nibley City Hall
Auditions for speaking parts are open to all children ages 9 and older. Everyone who auditions for a speaking part will get one! Many of these speaking parts are within the groups, so your child will not have to come to all of the early morning "speaking parts" rehearsals.
Alternately, children over the age of 9 can still be a part of a group and learn a song and dance, without auditioning for a specific speaking role. Just register them along with other "under age 9" children.
Scheduled Audition Times @ Nibley City Hall
We will be having scheduled Audition times. Please plan on arriving 10 minutes early to fill out paperwork.
What to do for the audition:
For the audition, we ask each child sing a short song, acapella, in front of the directors and assistants. This song can be anything they feel comfortable singing, we have heard everything from broadway show tunes, pop music, or even "Happy Birthday." Even if your child does not typically sing, we want them to experience a real audition and so we ask that each child does this.
Following their song, they will be asked to do a short reading of the script which will be emailed to you prior to auditions. They do not have to memorize the part, but we do ask that they "act" it out the best they can.
If your child would like to Audition for a speaking part please
- register each child for the show Registration.
- signup for an audition time Audition time Signup
- signup as a parent volunteer (required for all participants)
