The Nibley Children's Theatre is excited to announce our 40th show! Our first show, The Selfish Giant was presented in 1983 with a handful of local children.  Over the years, thousands of children have grown up on this stage, have found a voice in the crowd, and have gained confidence and courage through their experiences here.  Today we still have many people in our community who were in some of those first shows, and now watch their own children enjoy the uplifting experiences of singing, dancing and acting.

This year we will be presenting The Misfit Pirate written and directed by Emily Rigby. This exciting show is set on & in the deep blue sea, complete with a plethora of pirates, magical mermaids, rabid rats, clickity-crabs and beautiful jellyfish.  Join Billy, the only pirate who is afraid of heights, doesn't know how to swim, and hates fighting and plundering,  as he tries to make his way in the cutthroat world of piracy. Things get complicated when he accidentally catches a mermaid in his fishing net. His pirate parents are thrilled because pirates hate mermaids. Will Billy be able to convince them that the mermaids are good?  Will the mermaids learn to trust the pirates? Come and find out!

Open to all NIBLEY CITY RESIDENTS (you must live in Nibley) age 5 (going into Kindergarten) up to age 18 (graduated seniors welcome).

During this two week program, your child will learn at least one song and dance, how to perform on stage, and will have a lot of fun!

This program is Free, we just ask that each family volunteer their time in helping make costumes, lead groups, craft, create scenery, etc. A minimum of 4 hours.... (See the Volunteer Information tab for more info.)
