The Nibley Children's Theatre's first show, The Selfish Giant, was presented in 1983 with a handful of local children on a grassy hill in Andher Park.  As the program became a staple in the community, a stage was built, named after the founding director, Jessie Datwyler. Over the years, thousands of children have grown up on this stage, found a voice in the crowd, and gained confidence and courage through their experiences here.
Today we still have many people in our community who were in some of those first shows, and now watch their own children enjoy the uplifting experiences of singing, dancing and acting.

Performances: Thursday June 18th & Friday June 19th

Location:  All rehearsals and performances are at Andher Park (294 W 3200 S, Nibley)

Registration:  (must be a Nibley resident):
 Feb 1- March 12th

Cost: This program is Free, however we require that each family volunteer a minimum of 6 hours in helping make costumes, lead groups, craft projects, create scenery, etc.  (See the Volunteer Information tab for more info.)

Rehearsals:  Monday-Friday in the mornings, June 8-June 17th
Due to our limited number of practices, all cast members and crew must be at EVERY rehearsal in order to do the show.
Detailed Practice Schedule

Cast: During this two-week program, your child will learn at least one song and dance, how to perform on stage, and will have a lot of fun! Cast members with speaking parts will be required to spend more time at practices than those children who are only in a group number.

Student Volunteers:  We are in need of teens (age 15+)  to be Student Stage Director, Student Choreographer, Student Music Director, Student Costume Designer and even group leaders! This is a great leadership opportunity...  Please send us an email and let us know how you would like to help.

Stage Crew: Older children (13+) can also sign up to be stage crew; however, please note that stage crew members will be required to be at all "lead character" practices. These sometimes run from 7:30-11/11:30
