Nibley Heritage Days 2017 presents:
A 35th Anniversary Celebration...
Heroes vs Villains
The Battle for Nibley
The Nibley Children's Theatre is excited to announce our 35th Year! Our first show, The Selfish Giant was presented in 1983 with a handful of local children. Over the years hundreds of children have grown up on this stage, have found a voice in the crowd, and have gained confidence and courage through their experiences here. Today we still have many people in our community who were in some of those first shows, and now watch their own children enjoy the uplifting experiences of singing, dancing and acting.
This year we will be celebrating our 35th Anniversary with an original production which will bring back our bravest Heros and our most treacherous Villians, along with some of the most beloved group numbers from the last 35 shows. We hope you will join us as a child actor, or as an adult volunteer. This year is sure to be one to remember!
Online Signups for "Heroes Vs Villains: Battle for Nibley" will be April 1-May 15. All Children in Nibley between the ages of 5-17 are welcome to sign up for our theatre. (If they will be entering Kindergarten Fall 2017 or in the Senior class of 2017- they can still participate) Children who wish to be on Stage Crew should also fill out a Sign up sheet. There is now a box at the bottom of the form for them.
Auditions for speaking parts are at Nibley City Hall, Friday May 12th from 6-8pm and Saturday May 13th from 9:30am-12pm. If your child wants to audition for a speaking part and cannot make those times please contact us to arrange a separate audition ahead of time.
Everyone who auditions for a speaking part must also sing for us. Please prepare 16 measures or 30 seconds of your favorite part of a Broadway type song in your range. We also accept the ABC's, Christmas Carols, or any classic children's tune. Speaking parts are open to all children in Nibley between the ages of 8-17.
Teens who wish to be a Student Stage Director, Student Choreographer, Student Music Director, Student Costume Designer, etc. We would love to have you! Please fill out a regular sign up sheet, there is now a box at the bottom of the form to tell us how you wish to help!
***We do not charge money to participate in this activity, but each family is required to give at least 4 hours of volunteer time. This can be done in many ways- we have jobs that accommodate for everyone's work schedules***.
