Remember that each family with Children in the play is required to give at least 4 hours of Service to the Show.
Your child will not be fully signed up until you fill out a position on the Volunteer Spreadsheet

Show Director- writes, designs, and directs the show
Show Choreographer- develops dance choreography for all groups
Assistant Director- helps the director at rehearsals and assists with running lines and choreography with the main cast
Music Director- plays the piano, helps groups and the main cast rehearse music
Assistant Music Director- plays the piano; alternates with music director as needed
Stage Manager- takes charge of all sets, props, and backstage crew; coordinates with the show director and artistic director on set needs
Volunteer Organizer- keeps track of all volunteers and ensures every family has done at least 4 hours
Age Group Leader- helps teach their group’s song and dance; attends all rehearsals; sits with group during performances and gets them ready to go on stage.
Assistant Group Leaders- helps where the leader needs them, including costume and makeup for dress rehearsal and performances; usually take turns sitting with the groups during performances
Costume Director- works with show director to design new costumes and best utilize ones in storage; works with volunteer organizer to get volunteers the needed materials
Fabric Cutters- willing to cut out fabric for multiple costumes; either at home or at a cutting party
Set Builders- build pieces of set as needed reports to stage manager
Cast Treat/Reward Coordinator- sets up a local vendor (Macey's, McDonalds, etc) to donate a cast treat or reward for closing night
Lyrics and Costume Fliers Creator- types up small fliers for groups detailing their costume needs and the song lyrics to practice
Grant Writer- writes grant proposals during the year to get us our funding
Sponsor Banner Creator-creates show specific advertisement banner acknowledging our sponors
DVD Coordinator- Coordinate burning of DVDs and distribution to those who purchase
Sewers- willing to sew costumes; please specify ability from simple to expert
Crafters- willing to make smaller props/costume pieces; no sewing required. We will have items available to take home and work on, or you can join other crafters at the park during morning practices and work together.
Sergers- willing to serge/hem costumes; need to have a serger
Artistic Director- works with the show director and stage manager; designs and paints backdrops/flats/set pieces as needed
Painters- paints backgrounds and set pieces as required by the artistic director
T-shirt Coordinator- keeps track of show t-shirt orders; organizes and disperses shirts and collects money
T-shirt Designer- designs an appropriate show logo for the show t-shirt
Parade Coordinator- enters show into the Nibley City Heritage Days Parade; gets flatbed or similar conveyance and decorates it for parade; organizes everyone on parade day
Assistant Parade Coordinator- helps decorate parade entry and organize kids on parade day
Costume Washing- takes costumes home to be cleaned as needed and returned promptly; after show is over
Backdrop Setup and Take-down- puts up and takes down backdrop and other set pieces as needed for final dress rehearsal, and performances
Program Creator-- creates the program for the show; in charge of encouraging the children to draw cover designs
Lyrics Poster Maker- writes up all the words to each age group's songs onto posters for use during rehearsals
Certificate Designer-makes beautiful participation certificates for the cast and crew
Photographer-takes pictures of rehearsals and performances
Videographer-films both performances and creates a DVD
Hair Designer- Be at the park for dress rehearsal and performances. Do cast members hair, as well as assist director in deciding how each group should wear their hair.
Makeup Designer- Coordinate with director as to what the makeup for each group will be. Organize makeup by group and supervise distribution and application on dress rehearsal day and and performances.
